Ancient trails and high peaks

Group trekking on the Occitan Trails from San Damiano Macra to Prazzo, among vie ferrate, geological sites, ancient villages and culture, to discover the beauty of an authentic territory.

TRIP DETAILS:

5 days – 4 nights

DAY 1

Arrival in Dronero, Maira Valley. Visit to the Sanctuary of San Costanzo al Monte, the Abbey of San Pietro in Vincoli and the Ciciu del Villar nature reserve in Villar San Costanzo. Transfer by own means to San Damiano Macra for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2

Breakfast and hike from San Damiano Macra to Macra on the Occitan Trails. In the afternoon, climbing on the Camoglieres via ferrata (equipment provided). Dinner and overnight stay in Macra.

DAY 3

Breakfast and hike along the path leading to the panoramic mountain pastures above the hamlets of Langra and Caricatori. Then, walk from Macra to Stroppo on the Occitan Paths. Dinner and overnight stay in Stroppo.

DAY 4

Breakfast and hike on the Occitan Trails from Stroppo to Elva. Visit to the Hair Museum and the Parish Church of Santa Maria Assunta. Dinner and overnight stay in Elva.

DAY 5

Breakfast and hike from Elva to Monte Chersogno (3,000 m a.s.l.), one of the most fascinating and easiest peaks in the Maira Valley. Descent to Prazzo, transport to the first accommodation facility in San Damiano Macra to pick up the cars. Return journey by own means.

PRICE AND CONDITIONS

Groups of 6 to 9 people from 450 € per person

Groups of 10 to 13 people from 425 € per person

Groups of 14 to 17 people from 400 € per person

THE PRICE INCLUDES

Overnight stays: triple/quadruple rooms and/or stopover places for 4 nights as per the programme (linen not provided).

Transfers: Private transport on day 5 from Campiglione di Prazzo to San Damiano Macra.

Meals: 3 dinners, 4 packed lunches, 4 breakfasts.

Hire: Via ferrata equipment kit for day 2

Visits: entrance fees to Ciciu del Villar, San Costanzo al Monte, San Pietro in Vincoli, Museo dei Capelli. Guide on day 1 (half day).

On-site welcome: welcome briefing at the tourist office, handover of specific material on the trip, explanation of the itinerary, on-site assistance throughout the tour.
