Rocca la Meja loop
From the Colle del Preit car park, follow the road to the Margherina pass, first passing the farmhouse and then the Gias Margherina.
On reaching the first pass, continue in the direction of Colle d’Ancoccia, skirting Lago della Meja, from where it is possible to take fascinating photographs with the mountain reflected in the water.
From here, continue the ascent to Colle del Mulo. After a short descent, keep to the left at the junction for Passo Valletta.
Keep to the path that runs alongside Rocca la Meja and remains at high altitude, continuing towards the Passage del Preit; here you cross scree slopes which involve a certain difficulty of the itinerary (important boots suitable for the circumstances). This passage in the route is the one that presents the most difficulties, also because the directions are not always punctual and easy to follow. From here you will return to the car park.
