Beautiful crag nestled in a high mountain setting with fantastic views of the Gardetta plateau. Ideal place for beginners but also for those who like super tight limestone-dolomite slabs. Southern exposure and altitude of 2500 mt. make it an ideal place for the summer time…but bring sunscreen because there is not a thread of shade.
Piton bolting and difficulties ranging from 5b to 6b for a total of 22 pitches divided into two sectors close together.
Access a bit long, but nearby is Rifugio Gardetta, a great stopover place to enjoy the crag for a weekend of climbing and hiking.
In summer the road is often closed to traffic from the Grange Selvest, upstream from the hamlet of Preit di Canosio.
Possibility of using a shuttle that will take you up to the Preit pass (check road and shuttle closure times).
From the col you start walking and reach first Rif. Gardetta and then Colle Gardetta, from there take on the right the track to Bric Cassin, and after a small saddle you will find the cliff just below. 1.30-hour walk from the Preit pass. If, on the other hand, the road is open you can continue by car to the bar for Rif. Gardetta. In this case in 30 minutes you will be at the base of the crag.
