(20) Ring Vallone di San Michele

(20) Ring Vallone di San Michele

Simple route that offers a magnificent view of Monte Chersogno. Going up the entire San Michele valley and crossing the numerous hamlets, you reach the mountain pastures and high-altitude larch forests.

From Prazzo Inferiore you follow the asphalted climb that reaches San Michele. Continuing to climb, keeping to the left, you cross the villages of Villa, Castiglione and Campiglione, where you leave the paved road to take an agricultural road that leads to the foot of the Chersogno. It is then necessary to retrace the same road for about 1 km, where you later turn left to meet the hamlets of De Costanzi and Ferreri and Falco. Going back up you will find a forest path between the larch trees. Once you meet the Viòl Dal Genistè, follow it eastwards until you meet the road to the Castelli hamlet again. Once in San Michele, follow the signs for Via del Charbo to get to your destination avoiding the asphalt.
