Saint bernard and Roccerè mountain loop
Route that offers a spectacular view from the Ligurian Alps to Monte Rosa, as well as the entire plain of Cuneo and Turin.
We leave for the hamlet of Prarosso on an asphalted slope and then cycle along a path towards the Sanctuary of Santa Maria de Libera. From here you go up to the abbey of San Costanzo al Monte, Cascina Barbero, Casina Faramia, Pian l’Abà and Fontana dell’Asino. Arrived, continue to climb to the Roccabruna / Villar San Costanzo watershed. Keep in the direction of Meira Maggiorino and then arrive at the dirt road of Colle della Liretta. Go up on asphalt to Pian Pietro, Colle di Balma Scura and Colle della Ciabra. Descend towards Sant’Anna di Roccabruna, keeping the single trail that leads to Meiro di Vial and the town of Sant’Anna. Follow the dirt road from the partisan refuge “C. Fissore ”for the Chastlas climbing site. Once in the Castello hamlet, go down on a trial to the hamlets of San Giovanni, Peduccio, Cesani and Grangetta, and then take the last piece of asphalt to return to the starting point
